Kapre
Record WILD-002
An Earth-aligned elite humanoid that claims forests and ruins as territory through magic, melee strength, and stunning attacks.

The Kapre is an elite humanoid supernatural being that claims forests and ruins as its territory. Its Earth-aligned Diwa, physical strength, and ability to stun make an encounter with one a deliberate danger rather than an ordinary night-time threat.
Identity and territory
A Kapre is a supernatural character with its own identity and spiritual pattern. It is not simply a large human or an animal with unusual strength. Its presence is associated with old trees, heavy smoke, and the unsettling feeling that the forest is watching back.
Kapre behavior is territorial. Forests and ruins are not just places where it happens to appear; they are domains it watches and defends. This makes the Kapre different from a creature that wanders without purpose. Intruding into its domain can turn exploration into a confrontation, while the Kapre's territorial nature leaves room for an encounter that is not defined by a simple hatred of every human it meets.
Earth-aligned Diwa
The Kapre's supernatural abilities come from its Diwa: the identity, nature, and spiritual pattern that determine what a being can weave. Its current alignment is Earth. This is not a universal spell class. It means the Kapre's Diwa is compatible with earth-associated Hibla moving through the world's Daloy.
Through Habi, the act of gathering and shaping Hibla, the Kapre turns that compatibility into supernatural effects. Its weaving is not separate from its body or behavior. Like other supernatural beings, the Kapre can weave as naturally as breathing, allowing its magic and physical combat to function as one expression of its Diwa.
How the Kapre fights
The Kapre is an elite encounter built around three connected threats:
Magic that expresses its Earth-aligned Diwa and lets it shape the surrounding danger.
Melee attacks that make its physical presence dangerous at close range.
Stunning effects that interrupt a warrior's ability to respond and create openings for its next attack.
These abilities are expressions of one being rather than unrelated powers placed on a monster. The Kapre's Earth-compatible Diwa shapes the supernatural side of the encounter, while its humanoid form gives that power a direct and physical presence.
What a Kapre represents
The Kapre shows how Kali's supernatural beings are shaped by both identity and place. Its power does not come from a generic reserve of magic. It comes from the relationship between its Diwa, the Earth-aligned Hibla it can weave, and the forest or ruins it has claimed. To understand a Kapre is to understand that its territory is part of the threat.
